Casemiro Offers Cryptic Update on Manchester United Future

Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has hinted that his future at Old Trafford remains uncertain, insisting it is “too soon” to discuss whether he will stay beyond this season.

Casemiro’s Future in Doubt Amid Limited Role

The 33-year-old Brazilian has struggled for game time under new manager Ruben Amorim, making just seven starts in all competitions. Given his £300,000-per-week wages, United are reportedly open to parting ways with him to reduce costs as part of their squad overhaul.

Casemiro was linked with a January move to Saudi Arabia, but no deal materialized. Speculation continues ahead of the summer transfer window, with some reports suggesting United could offload the high-earning midfielder.

However, speaking to reporters, Casemiro refused to be drawn into the rumors, emphasizing that he remains committed to the club.

“It’s too soon to talk about next season, but of course, I have another year of contract and then an option,” he said. “We have important games, and on Sunday we have Arsenal. It’s too soon to talk about next season.”

“I’m here, I’m available, with total happiness, and I’m ready for the coach and the club. As everyone knows, I’m a big character for the club.”

Casemiro Frustrated with Lack of Game Time

Despite his positive outlook, Casemiro acknowledged his frustration at being left out of the starting lineup.

“Of course, I want to play, but I always say, and these are my values—I respect the coach a lot, I respect the club,” he explained. “Every day I go to Carrington or Old Trafford, I try to do my best.”

“If a player is on the bench and is happy, that player is not worth anything for any team.”

“Of course, I want to play, I want to have more minutes, but the coach is the one who makes the decisions, and I have a lot of respect for him and for the club.”

What’s Next for Casemiro?

Casemiro’s contract runs until 2026, with an option for another year, meaning United would need to negotiate his exit should they decide to move on.

With reports suggesting that Saudi Pro League clubs remain interested in signing him, his situation will be one to watch heading into the summer transfer window.
